Essential Oils


An Essential Oils are volatile oils, ethereal oils, aetherolea or volatile aromatic fluids depicted from shrubs, flowers, trees, roots and plant seeds. The chemical composition of essential oils is very complex. Each can contain hundreds of different and unique ingredients. In addition, essential oils are highly concentrated and far more effective than dried herbs. Highly concentrated essential oils are due to the distillation process. To obtain a single drop of essential oil, the whole plant or more is often needed. Essential oils are also different from conventional oils such as sunflower oil or olive oil. They are not greasy and do not pores like many vegetable oils. They are used in perfumes, cosmetics, soaps and for flavoring food and drink.
