Tinctures


A Tincture is an alcoholic natural extract produced by means of maceration from plants or fruits. To qualify as an alcoholic tincture, the extract should have an ethanol percentage of at least 25–60%. Herbal tinctures are not always made using ethanol as the solvent, though this is most commonly the case. Other solvents include glycerol or propylene glycol. The dosage has to be adapted as required, approximately a dosage of 1:100 to 1:500. Dosage should be tested as needed and specific use. Tincture have a durability of 5 years from date of production.
